between drawing and jewellery. 2012

This is my Master diploma work from 2012.
This work consists of a divers pieces of copper objects of different sizes /from 10 x 10 mm to 200 x 300 mm/, mainly made by soldering, cutting, drilling, etching, fireing and forging. Copper wires, copper sheets and silver solder is a material used to
express an idea. Every piece is a documentation of its process of making at the same time. Mistakes, coincidencies, proposals versus finished piece. The author didn’t want to hide these, but make them visible, as an equal part of the whole work. The connection with drawing we can see in the way of working with material. I tried to work with a sheet of copper (which has its own characterictics) as with a piece of paper. I used wire as a pencil, sheet of copper as a sheet of paper, trying to vizualize my own world full of symbols. The visual langeage used in this work is taken from my sketchbooks and diaries. You can see my drawings and texts, few words, letters, dots, lines, chains, experiments…  Somehow one gets the feeling of calm, silence, and can „read“ this work as a poem.
