Magazine about contemporary drawing X

Me and Milan Vagač, co-founder and co-editor of Magazine X, we are very happy to introduce you our very new project!



























Magazine X (magazine about contemporary drawing)is out! First topic "View onto drawing" is
 trying to grasp drawing from many sources to provide an introduction to the topic in the form of essays and provides space for reproductions of drawings by contemporary artists. Newly created platform can, in cooperation with the artists flexibly adjust the size or printing technology.

Magazine of contemporary drawing called "X" is a platform focused on drawing medium. It provides space for the presentation of contemporary drawings and allows the theoretical reflection.
Magazine "X" tries to make a map of forms of drawing in Slovak art scene and create an overview of current events. Our aim is to document and present exhibitions, authors and emerging works, workshops, competitions and other activities which belong to the contemporary discourse of drawing. We are trying to fill the existing gap in its expertise in Slovakia.
Magazine "X" opens a scientific discussion, It is a source of important information for theoretical and artistic community. Each issue focuses on a specific topic. The magazine consists of two parts. First part presents the subject in the form of essays from invited theorists. The second part presents the visual works of contemporary authors in the form of high-quality reproductions in the form of loose sheets. An important element of the magazine is an interview with the artists, providing deeper insight into the issue. A practical overview of current events and activities related to drawing in Slovakia and the surrounding area we will add at the end of the magazine.
